An LEI requires annual renewal in order to keep the LEI record up to date. If an LEI is not renewed within 12 months it will become Lapset and Expire, it will have to be renewed. Anybody can renew an LEI code, including on behalf of another company. Please, note that we may only renew an LEI that is under our management. If your LEI is being managed by another service provider, you can transfer it to LEI Africa free of charge. however a transfer is different and can take up to a few days to complete

    → Letter of Authorisation for Transfer

  • → Name of Authorised Signatory (e.g Director)

    → A supporting Document (e.g Certificate of Incorporation/ Constitution)

Simple Renewal Form

Renewing an LEI is facter and easier than registering a new LEI. The LEI is already on our system, and it can be completed in a couple of minutes, unless some company info has changed.

Lower Cost

Lei Africa is less costly as we have automated many previously manual process. An LEI renewal for 1 year is $USD 150, and we offer multi-year and bulk order discounts

LEI Transfers

If you originally registered your LEI with another provider you can transfer your LEI to LEI Africa for free. Please note that a transfer request  may take a few days and we may request a written signature

Multi-Year LEIs

Renew LEIs for up to 5 years. This is a convenient way to ensure the LEI will not inadvertently expire within the 5 year limit and is suitable to longer term organisations and includes up to 13,30% discount
